As a Floridan, I love a wicker, straw or rattan bag for the beach more than perhaps anyone else on this planet. But, what I love most about bags made out of these materials is how versatile they are. A wicker purse for the beach? Sure! A wicker bag for an evening out in Paris? Even better! I'm certainly not the only one that feels this way. This is clearly evidenced by the beautiful bags with these natural materials flooding every retailer and online site I shop at. Each one is more fun than the next. Elaborate stitching, pops of color, and accents of flowers, shells, jewels, and other precious materials abound.
Unlike many of the trendy bags that fall in and out of vogue at a dizzying pace, I don't think a chic wicker/rattan/straw bag EVER goes out of style. I carry the bags I've had for years, some purchased in high school and even some of Becks' bags from the 80's, season after season! I have one problem with doing these round-ups on the blog - I want each and every piece I find. Very dangerous. Luckily for myself, and for you, dear reader, some of the finds are below $30!
Summer is so fleeting, so treat yourself to a fabulous bag that you're bound to reach for for years to come.
